Events scheduled for Friday, February 24 and later:

  • Bible Study: Exploring the Book of James
    Saturday, February 25
    1:00 PM–2:30 PM
We often read the Bible in our churches. What does the Bible say about church? Over the next few months let's continue to look deeply into James' message to the early church. He himself, a devoted follower of Christ Jesus, spent much time in humble prayer and deep reflection to share what he felt would be best for those who worship together and provide community service.
You are invited to participate in the discussion. We encourage you to read all five chapters of the book of James, using your favorite or preferred Bible translations. If you wish, choose a key word from the book and come ready to tell how a deeper understanding of it has been helpful and healing in your daily walk. Among those that could be chosen are faith, works, pray, fountain, tongue, brethren, doer, law, and others. How did James define and use these key words and how are they relevant today?
