Events include lectures, book talks, and workshops on Christian Science, all open to the public. Events are free unless a charge is mentioned. (You may wish to also view the calendar of events of more specific interest to church members.)

At these events, no one will collect your name or other personal information. These talks are simply gifts to the community, shared freely by area Christian Science churches with no obligation, and you will be warmly welcomed!

  • The Healing Power of Divine Love
    Saturday, September 19
    4:00 PM
    Maryl Walters, a practitioner of Christian Science healing from St. Louis, will share how understanding the power and presence of divine Love can bring healing to personal and community relationships the person who is violent, who is stealing, who is prejudiced. Her talk will include her own healing experiences as well as those from the Bible. One notable example will be the healing of a crippled man by Mary Baker Eddy, the author of the Christian Science textbook Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures. "No power can withstand divine Love," Eddy wrote.

  • You Can Be a Healer!

  • Meaningful Change for Ourselves and the World

Mark McCurties, a practitioner of Christian Science healing, will speak about what he has found to be the most effective way to bring about positive change. He will explain how God's loving and saving power is the greatest agent for change, and that through a right understanding of God, that power can be seen and felt right here and now, bringing health and peace to the world.

  • Spiritual solutions for desparate situations

    If you are feeling worried, afraid, or overwhelmed, come to a talk about how God as infinite good gives us trust in His power of goodness to find solutions to all kinds of life's challenges. International speaker, practitioner, and teacher of Christian Science healing, Lorenzo Rodriguez of Miami, Florida, will share experiences of how prayer is effective and has revealed practical answers for difficult situations to people in all walks of life.

  • Discover Your Relationship with God: Three Simple Questions

Stormy Becker Falso describes how an understanding of our relationship with God provides healing, health, strength, comfort, and security. She shares her healing of a condition which confined her to a wheelchair for months. Studying the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, she gained an understanding of the divine laws of God which healed her. These same divine laws of God apply to you.
